Parenthesis: a word or phrase inserted as an explanation or afterthought into a passage which is grammatically complete without it, in writing usually marked off by brackets, dashes, or commas.

Parentheses: either or both of a pair of signs ( ) used in writing to mark off an interjected explanatory or qualifying remark, to indicate separate groupings of symbols in mathematics and symbolic logic.

As an intervention, my intention was to engage people to respond to the existing sculpture as well as peak their interest into the museum that is so accessible in downtown Bangor. In addition to an intervention, this piece was socially engaged in that it asked people to participate with it. I found that 100% of the participants asked to be involved wanted to participate.
